In this trip I visited the country of Malaysia. Highlight was the excursion to the Jungle and hiking in it even by night. But also the city-experiences are highly recommended: by bike through the countryside of the Red City (Malaka), exploring the town of Kota Kinabalu, and navigating through the fancy capital of Kuala Lumpur. I had one dream when planning the Malaysia Trip: The real rainforest. And in Sabah it became true. It was quite a journey....another flight from Kota Kinabalu. A 2-h bus ride. Deeper into the jungle by boat. And the last distance was covered by walking. And finally the destination: Tungog Lodge in plain nature...no running water. No electricity. No Internet. 3 days upcoming with hikes and safaris and boat trips. Here are some photos from this amazing stay.

In this post I share a few information about Kota Kinabalu and the region around. There are beautiful beaches and I chose it mainly, in order to escape the heavy rainy season on Langkawi Island, where usually everybody is going to for beaches. However, what should I say.....I had rain every single day, too. Haha :)
