My colleague and I went to the four target-communities of our project: Fada, Matiacoali, Gayeri and Kopienga. He gave me a detailed introduction about our work in the field, our activities and the conflicts we are dealing with. I also had the chance to interview two Para-Jurists (trained mediators who help in case of conflicts between herdsmen and farmer), the chef of the Peulhs in Matiacoali and the mayor in Kopienga. The road to go there was really an adventure. A red-dust-path for over three hours and four men in the car telling me: "You really have to go faster than 20km/h if you want us to arrive before sunset."
